iZTECH TIP - Jump-to Menu Navigation

Whoever said you need a mouse for easy menu navigation? RADAR makes it fast and intuitive to jump to different menus. Here’s how:

If you know the name of the menu item you’re looking for, just press the first letter of the menu item on your KC24 or Session Controller. Your controller will display all menu options that start with that letter in one-by-one order.

e.g. If you’re in the Main Menu and are trying to get to the Project Menu, press the “P” key to jump to the Project Menu. Press the “P” key again for the Preferences Menu.

Neil Young's Le Noise recorded with RADAR!

In the February 2011 issue of Sound On Sound, RADAR was featured in the interview "Daniel Lanois and Mark Howard: Recording Neil Young's Le Noise." Here's what Mark Howard had to say about the RADAR:

“I like the Radar because I grew up using tape recorders, and it is like using a tape recorder. You record something, you play it back. You don’t have to think about anything else, or spend hours studying how to use the software or get something to work again when it crashes or doesn’t open. New Product Alert! SOLID STATE "SILENT" DRIVES We have now qualified and are shipping high reliability solid state drives which are absolutely silent! These drives are available in 64GB and 128GB sizes and they are qualified for use at all sample rates up to 192 kHz. The drives are available in both legacy SCSI as well as SATA removable carriers. Several of our high end customers are now using these drives and love them! For existing RADAR customers, a 128GB solid state system drive upgrade is also available. Combine with the new quiet power supply for the quietest RADAR yet! HIGH CAPACITY SATA II 10,000 RPM DRIVES For a long time customers have requested higher than 150GB SATA drives so we’ve now qualified and are shipping new SATA II (3 Gigabits per second) 150GB, 300GB and 600GB enterprise class mechanical drives. These drives ship in the newer SATA II carriers which run at 3 Gigabits per second whereas the older 74GB and 150GBSATA I drives would operate at only 1.5 Gigabits per second. QUIET POWER SUPPLY ADA now ships with a quiet power supply and since it already boots from a solid state drive, they are much quieter which is very noticeable in the control room. RADAR’s larger 160GB boot drive is mechanical, but if RADAR customers need quiet, we now have an optional super quiet system power supply and 128GB solid state SATA II boot drive.
